UPDATE: Closing date extended! The ARA survey on the Australian quality standard for rheumatoid arthritis is now live.
The Australian Rheumatology Association, in collaboration with Arthritis Australia, is developing a Quality Standard for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Australia.
The goal is to improve the quality of care for people living with RA, and your input is needed.
Over the past six months, a dedicated working group of rheumatologists, other health professionals, including GPs, nurses, a range of allied health care professionals and several consumers prioritised specific areas of care for quality improvement.
Based on these priority areas, the group formulated 13 quality statements and established 7 guiding principles for RA care.
ARA is now inviting health care professionals involved in the care of people with RA and people living with RA to take part in an online survey to indicate their agreement with:
- the selection of priority areas
- the content and wording of each quality statement.
By completing the survey, you can contribute to this essential initiative. Your input will help shape the quality measures that will be used to assess and monitor RA care in Australia in the future.
There’s more information on the participant information sheet for healthcare professionals or consumers.
The survey will be open until 20 September 2023, and you can find it here: redcap.link/RA_qual_stds
